"When you sit in the silence of deep meditation, joy bubbles up from within, roused by no outer stimulus. The joy of meditation is overwhelming."

~Paramahansa Yogananda

Welcome to Our Temple

Welcome to the Tampa Bay Meditation Group

of Self-Realization Fellowship

Located in Tampa, Florida, the Tampa Bay Meditation Group (TBMG) was established in the 1970’s, and is one of over 500 affiliates of Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), a worldwide nonprofit organization with international headquarters in Los Angeles, California.

Our Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, founded Self-Realization Fellowship in 1920 for the purpose of disseminating Kriya Yoga Meditation, a scientific technique for attaining direct personal experience of God.  Self-Realization Fellowship seeks to awaken greater understanding of the harmony underlying all true religions, and the love that unites all people when they realize their oneness in God.

The teachings of Kriya Yoga have been compiled in a series of lessons.  For more information on the Kriya Yoga technique and the SRF Lessons please visit www.yogananda.org.
